SUB ROSA - THE PRE-PRODUCTION STAGE
Sub Rosa's team is now only 3 weeks away from starting principal photography. Department heads are focused on getting everything ready for a smooth and organized shoot. In the past couple weeks, we have started our rehearsals with cast members, filmed and released our Indiegogo campaign, visited some key locations for logistics planning, and adjusted a few more details in our script. We are beyond excited to start filming!

As a producer, I have worked for the past several months on getting crew and cast ready, finding and visiting filming locations, and coordinating what's left of pre-production before we begin our journey towards principal photography. Last weekend, we filmed, edited, and launched our Indiegogo campaign to raise some funds for the film. The campaign has been opened for a little over a week and we have already received donations for a total amount of $750. We have 17 more days to reach our goal of $3,000. You can find our campaign following this Indiegogo link. Next to that, producers pitched their project to the Student Government Association on campus and expect to receive some extra funds from the student body.
As we get closer to principal photography, I have now taken down my producer's hat and am focusing on my role of Director of Photography. Our two co-producers are now taking care of the pre-production business, so that I can move forward with the camera department and start building a shot list that will make this film a visual masterpiece. The goal for the coming week or two (depending on weather and road conditions) will be to visit each location with sound mixer Rene Ulloa, gaffer Collin O'Connell, and production designer Natalie Laturno in order for us to start visualizing our set up for each scene in all our locations.
During the next week (and until March 1st), the crew's goal is to share the Indiegogo campaign as much as possible in order to meet our financial goal, and start promoting the making of our film around the Springfield community. Each crew members is required to attend weekly crew meetings for updates on production and is alos asked to communicate with their department heads to start planning principal photography. The post-production team is also meeting weekly with Director, Producers, and DP to start discussing picture and sound designs.

Help us reach our goal by donating to our campaign. 10% of all donations and film profits will directly go towards Stand Against Trafficking, an organization located in Springfield, Mo supporting victims of sex trafficking. On top of that, you don't want to miss the exciting perks we are giving away to thank you for your donations! We invite you to be a part of Sub Rosa!
